Who We Are

Arcke PBC is a public benefit corporation registered in Delaware, USA. We are a privacy-first company, because artists deserve nothing less. You can contact us anytime at hello@arcke.io.

What We Collect on the Website

When you write to us at hello@arcke.io, the details you provide are delivered to our inbox and kept privately for record-keeping.

The Preview waitlist

When you request access to the Arcke Preview, we ask for your name and email address, and — so we understand who we are building for — your role, how your music is distributed, roughly how large your catalogue is, and anything else you choose to tell us. Every field beyond your name and email is there to help us learn, and the last one is optional.

We use this to contact you about the Arcke Preview, and for nothing else. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not sell or share it.

The legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to hello@arcke.io.

Your details are stored in Attio, the customer relationship tool we use to keep track of who has asked for access. Attio is a US company and processes this information on our behalf. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which confirms you are a person rather than a bot and does not set a cookie or track you. Your confirmation email is sent through Resend.

We keep your details until you ask us to remove them. Write to hello@arcke.io and we will delete them.

We use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies or track you across the web. It gives us basic, aggregate insight into how the site is used. We serve it from arcke.io rather than embedding it, so your browser does not make a request to Plausible at all.

Our site is hosted on Cloudflare, which serves the pages and provides aggregate, cookieless traffic measurement. Cloudflare also tells our survey which country a visit came from, at country level only.

The Artist Survey

The Arcke Artist Survey is primary research. We are building infrastructure for independent music, and we would rather learn how artists actually work than assume it. The survey is a spoken conversation with an AI interviewer that asks about your releases, your tools, and what frustrates you.

Taking part is entirely voluntary, and you can stop at any point. Nothing you tell us affects your access to Arcke, now or later.

Who Can Take Part

The survey is for participants aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and if we learn that we have, we delete it.

What We Collect

• A recording of your voice: the whole conversation, as audio.
• A transcript: an automatic text transcription of the same conversation.
• Your answers: structured responses across the survey's questions.
• Your own words: free-text answers, stored as you said them.
• Your email address: optional, asked only at the end.
• A link to your work: optional, asked only at the end.
• Your permissions: your yes or no to follow-up contact, early access, and quoting.
• Your country: country level only. We do not store your IP address.
• Connection diagnostics: whether the call connected and how long things took, without content.

You do not need an account and there is no login. Until you choose to give us an email address at the end, we do not know who you are: your session is identified by a random token, nothing more.

About the Voice Recording

Your voice is recorded so that what you said can be transcribed and understood. It is not used to identify you by your voice. We do not create a voiceprint, match your voice against anything, or use recordings to train voice models.

Under the GDPR, a voice becomes special-category biometric data only when it is processed for the purpose of uniquely identifying someone. That is not what happens here. A recording of your voice is still personal data, though, and a sensitive kind, so we name it separately rather than filing it under survey responses.

We have turned off the setting that would allow our voice provider to use what you say to improve its own AI models. Your conversation is there to teach us how independent artists work, and for nothing else.

Our Legal Basis

Your consent. You give it on the screen before the survey begins, and before your microphone is ever requested. We record that consent.

You can withdraw it at any time by emailing hello@arcke.io. Withdrawing does not undo processing that was lawful while your consent stood, but it does mean we stop and delete.

Because we rely on consent, you are never obliged to give us any of this. The only consequence of declining is that the survey does not happen.

The Three Optional Permissions

At the end of the survey we ask three separate questions. They are independent of each other and independent of the survey itself. You can complete the whole survey and say no to all three.

• Follow-up contact: we may email you with a follow-up question about your answers.
• Early access: we may contact you when Arcke opens to artists.
• Quoting: we may quote your words.

If you grant the quoting permission, your words may appear in investor and fundraising materials, and in public material such as our website and posts. We will not attach your name unless you have given it to us and agreed to that use. Before anything is quoted, a person reads it to check that it does not identify you or anyone you mentioned.

You can withdraw any of these permissions at any time, without withdrawing the others.

Who Else Handles Your Data

These are our service providers. They process your data on our instructions and for no purpose of their own.

• ElevenLabs: runs the AI interviewer, records the conversation, and transcribes it. United States.
• Supabase: our database for answers, contact details, and transcripts. European Union (Ireland).
• Cloudflare: hosts the survey and provides the country signal. Global network.

Data Leaving the EU

Your answers, your contact details, and the stored transcript live in a database in Ireland, inside the EU. The conversation itself is processed in the United States by ElevenLabs, so your voice and its transcription are processed there.

How Long We Keep It

We keep survey data for 180 days. After that, the session is deleted: your answers, your contact details, the transcript, and the recording. Deletion is automatic on both sides, through retention settings on the recording and transcript and a nightly job that removes expired sessions from our database.

You do not have to wait 180 days. Ask us and we delete it sooner.

Deleting Your Data, and the Honest Limit

Email hello@arcke.io and we will delete your recording, your transcript, your contact details, and the answers that identify you. We will confirm when it is done.

Once your name, email, link, recording, and transcript are gone, what is left is a set of answers about how somebody releases music. It is de-identified, but not perfectly anonymous, because your own words could still point to you if you named your label, a collaborator, or a distinctive release. If you want everything gone, including the answers themselves, say so and we will remove those too.

What We Do Not Do

We do not make automated decisions about you. We do not profile you. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or pass it to anyone beyond the providers listed above.

How We Use Your Data

We use your information only for its intended purpose. Contact form submissions are used to respond to your message. Newsletter sign-ups are stored so that we can reach you once we launch our newsletter. Analytics help us understand how our site is used without collecting personal information.

Survey data is used to understand how independent artists work, and to shape what Arcke builds. That includes analysis, internal write-ups, and — where you gave permission — quoting, as described above.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Contact form submissions are kept in our email inbox and private logs until they are no longer needed, at which point they are deleted. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe, your email address will be permanently deleted.

• Survey data: 180 days, then automatically deleted.
• Website analytics: aggregate only; no personal data retained.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, request corrections, ask for deletion, restrict or object to how we use your data, and receive it in a portable form. You may also withdraw consent whenever you choose, where we rely on consent. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@arcke.io and we will respond within one month.

If you are in the EU, the EEA, or the UK and think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

No Cookies, No Pixels

We do not use advertising pixels, third-party advertising cookies, social media trackers, or behavioural profiling of any kind. The survey stores a session token in your browser only so the conversation can continue if the page reloads.

Updates

This policy is versioned. When we change it, we publish the new version here with a new version number and date, keep the previous version available, and describe what changed. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you directly where we can reach you.
